Wayne County (Michigan) Register of Deeds (ROD) launched its new public search website for official records on Monday, Aug. 18, 2025. To assist with onboarding and adoption of the new site for commercial account subscribers, please review the information about Commercial Account Subscription and general FAQs below.
Account Import & Setup
All Commercial Account users of Wayne County Register of Deeds's previous search site were imported to the new system Aug. 17.
For subscription administrators
Wayne County Register of Deeds public search site now offers Commercial Account subscription. These are called Multi-user 10 Subscriptions. They have one administrator who manages the subscription payment method and can add or remove members.
As an administrator for a Commercial Account Subscription at the Official Records Search for Wayne County Register of Deeds, you were sent three emails on Aug. 17. These emails were notices or instructions to take action.
- Email 1 -- action -- set your password at https://wayne.mi.publicsearch.us/ to access your account.
- Email 2 -- notice -- notice of subscription activation.
- Email 3 -- action -- Instructions on how to set your records Company Account Escrow as payment method at the public search (i.e. Official Records Search). Your Escrow username and password to use when linking to your Escrow account was also provided.
NOTE: Subscription Administrators were also sent a message about an update to their Company Account password with a link to the incorrect search site. This was sent in error. Please be sure you are using wayne.mi.publicsearch.us to conduct official public records searches and manage your account and subscription.
For subscription members
As a subscription member, you are part of a Multi-user 10 Subscription. Your subscription administrator sets the subscription payment method, which all members of the subscription use, and manages membership. If you are a subscription member, you received two emails Aug. 17.
- Email 1 -- action -- set your password at wayne.mi.publicsearch.us to access your account.
- Email 2 -- notice -- notice of subscription activation.
Subscription Administrators: How to link to your escrow account
- Log in to wayne.mi.publicsearch.us. You should have received an email from VanguardSupport@govos.com to set your password for your search account.
- Forgot your password? Use our LiveChat! Visit wayne.mi.publicsearch.us. At the upper right, click on Help, then select LiveChat.
- Once logged in, click on your name at the upper right to visit your Account Settings.
- Select Payment Info from the left navigation.
- You’ll see a message: Your escrow account is not linked. To link it, click connect.
- A window will appear requesting your records escrow username and password. These credentials were sent to you overnight Aug.17-18.
- If you have trouble with accessing the email that was sent, please contact VanguardSupport@govos.com.
- You’ll then receive a success message. Once the Payment Info screen shows Account: [your admin email address], your purchases -- and the purchases made by your subscription members -- at public search will be paid for by escrow drawdown.
How to view your Company Account Escrow balance
As of Aug. 18, 2025, there is no way for a commercial account subscriber to view or add funds to the Company Account Escrow through public search. There will be updates made before end of 2025 that will provide this functionality.
In the meantime, you will receive a monthly invoice on your Company Account activity and balance. Plus, you can contact the Wayne County Register of Deeds office to inquire about your escrow balance or to add funds.

What is Property Alert?
This feature at Wayne County ROD Official Records Search allows you to monitor documents that are filed using your name, a keyword or phrase, or data from a document's legal description. When you create a property alert for a name or keyword, you will receive an email any time a document is filed within the county that contains the name(s) or keyword(s) that you have set the alert for. This is to help keep you aware of potential fraud attempts that could affect your property ownership. Learn more here.
