How can I tell if an Assumed Name is still active?

Generally, Assumed Names are good for 10 years.  However, they can be approved for less than 10 years.  To determine if an Assumed Name is active, perform a search for the Business Name.  There may be more than one since they have to be renewed every 10 years.  Find the most recent one and View (or download) the document.  The time period for the Assumed Name is defined on the application that has been filed.
